The 5 Best Wine Farms to visit in The Cape
Boschendal.
With ancient oaks and both wild and manicured gardens, Boschendal is simply breathtaking.
The farm produces a big variety with a focus on chardonnay, shiraz, and MCC. The Werf offers five different tastings with Huguenot chocolates. The Heritage Rose Garden is also open for wine tastings with food platters.
There is a treehouse for the kids as well as a farm shop which has a variety of goods for you to choose from.
Constantia Uitsig.
Just a short drive from the City Centre, you will find this wonderful wine farm with world-class white wines as well as reds and MCC.
There is a good variety of food and there is also a bike park which caters to all ages for hours of entertainment.
Anthonij Rupert
This farm has six wine brands, including L'Ormarins Cap Classique, one dedicated to Italian grape varietals, and some including old-vine wines. There is also eau de vie and Sagnac (brandy). You can sample them in the Manor House and at the Terra del Capo Tasting Room (which also does an Italian cheese-and wine experience with imported and local cheese).
The Cape-Dutch Manor House is a warm and regal domain featuring wood-beam ceilings, yellowwood floors, 19th-century furnishings, and period artworks.
Hazendal.
Just 30 minutes from Cape Town, Hazendal wine estate offers culture, cuisine, golf, and entertainment for the entire family.
